DAVID RYAN POLGAR
David is a pioneering tech ethicist who paved the way for the current debates around tech ethics, digital citizenship, and what it means to be human in the digital age. With a background as an attorney and educator, David has been at the forefront of issues around responsible tech and how we can build a better tech future since 2012. He is an international speaker (Harvard Business School, Princeton University, TNW [Netherlands], FutureHealth Summit [Ireland], FutureNow [Slovakia], TechChill [Latvia], 3-time TEDx), whose commentary has been featured on CBS This Morning, BBC World News, the TODAY show, AP, LA Times, San Francisco Chronicle, SiriusXM, The Guardian, New York Daily News, USA Today, Fast Company, and many more. He has spearheaded the creation of the “Responsible Tech Guide” and the report on Improving Social Media: The People, Organizations, and Ideas for a Better Tech Future , along with co-leading The Business Case on AI Ethics: Moving From Theory to Action.
Outside of running All Tech Is Human, speaking, and writing, David currently serves as a founding member of TikTok’s Content Advisory Council. He is also a board member for the Technology and Adolescent Mental Wellness (TAM) program and sits on many working groups related to improving our tech future and uniting multiple stakeholders. In addition, he the co-host of Funny as Tech, a NYC-based podcast and regular live show (pre-COVID) that tackles the thorniest issues in tech--inside a comedy theater. He recently launched a tech ethics hub for college students and a digital citizenship class for adults, and writes monthly pieces about Responsible Tech for Built In. Anne Collier
Journalist and youth advocate Anne Collier has been chronicling the public discussion about youth and digital media since 1997. She is founder and executive director of national nonprofit organization The Net Safety Collaborative (TNSC), whose main project is a social media helpline for schools. Piloted during the 2015-’16 school year, in 2016 the helpline was recognized by the National School Boards Association as one of 6 startups in its Education Technology Innovation Showcase. That same year, Anne gave her TEDx talk, “The Heart of Digital Citizenship,” in Geneva, Switzerland, at the ITU’s World Summit on Information Technology. She has served on Facebook’s Safety Advisory Board since 2009, and on the Trust & Safety boards of Twitter, Snapchat, Toronto-based Kik and Paris-based Yubo since they were formed.
Sherine Kazim
Sherine is a design leader creating industry-changing products and experiences for Fortune 500 companies, agencies, startups, and foundations. Throughout her 20-year career, she has led global Experience Design teams within the physical and digital realms, transforming hardware, software, retail and connected environments for clients such as LG, Twitter, Verizon, and EA.
Her human-centric approach to design has garnered industry awards and attention from numerous organizations including AIGA, The FWA, FastCo and Awwwards.
Ariba Jahan
As the Director of Innovation for the Ad Council, Ariba is charged with exploring future-forward methods and platforms for the organization through technology partnerships, creative development, and internal education and rituals. Discovering her partial hearing loss at age eight after emigrating to the US, Ariba has developed a keen sense for attention and empathy that echoes throughout her work.
With over 10 years of experience in user-focused product design and leading workshops for entrepreneurs in global cities, Ariba leverages her life experiences, startup mindset and scientific approach to create organizational change, empower an innovative culture and to design products.
Andrew Sears
Andrew is a tech ethicist and design-minded product strategist who is passionate about emerging technologies and the future we’re building with them. He’s driven innovation at companies like IBM, IDEO, & Wyre with a focus on AI and cloud products.
A thought leader in the tech ethics space, Andrew is the founder of Technovirtuism and serves as an Advisor at All Tech is Human. He has written about the intersection of technology, ethics, and society for YouTheData, the Center for the Study of Ethics and Technology, and elsewhere and has spoken to audiences of up to 800 on subjects like speculative design, social change, and technological virtue.
Andrew received a classical education at Biola University and an MBA at Duke University. In his spare time, he loves playing electric guitar, exploring hole-in-the-wall restaurants with his wife, and discussing science fiction. You can keep up with his work at andrew-sears.com.
Allie Brandenburger
Allie is Co-founder & CEO of TheBridge, a startup company building understanding and collaboration between tech, policy, politics. Allie has worked with some of the most innovative tech companies including SpaceX, Uber and Google, and with coalitions of tech companies advocating for emerging tech issues. Allie helped stand up the Retail & Hospitality ISAC in 2014, the first for the industry, and served as an advisor to the ISAC. She has a dynamic background in national and statewide campaigns - having worked on multiple Presidential races, Governors race and issue campaigns. Allie previously served as Communications Director for a US Congressman on Capitol Hill. She is a senior public affairs professional with experience in issue advocacy including inclusion, autonomous vehicles, workforce, cyber security, data privacy, e-commerce, privacy, emerging tech issues.
Matt Soeth
Matt is the Co-Founder and Executive Director for #ICANHELP where he works to grow the vision and resources of the nonprofit. Matt provides professional development to staff and students across the United States. In addition, he manages partnerships with other nonprofits, professional organizations, and technology companies providing advice and insight into student behavior on social media, gaming and schools.
Anoush Rima
Anoush is a strategic communications advisor and consultant, with a specialization on digital technology and global affairs. She has held multiple roles including Senior Communications Officer to the UN Secretary-General’s High-level Panel on Digital Cooperation; Strategic Engagement Advisor on Digital & Innovation for the World Food Programme, the UN’a largest humanitarian aid organization; Director of UN Relations for the GSMA, a global association of the mobile technology industry; and Strategic Communications Officer for UN Global Pulse, the UN’s first data science lab, where she helped spearhead the “data philanthropy” movement.
Anoush Rima holds a B.A. from the College of William & Mary and Master’s in Public Diplomacy from the University of Southern California. She was the first Editor-in-Chief of Public Diplomacy Magazine, launched in 2009.
Lauri Goldkind
Dr. Goldkind is an associate professor at Fordham’s Graduate School of Social Service. She is also the editor of the Journal of Technology in Human Services. Dr. Goldkind’s current research has two strands: technology implementation in the human services and nonprofits and the social justice and ethical implications of data collection, use and dissemination incommunity-based organizations.
Wherever possible she combines both ICT and social justice for a blend of tech enhanced civic engagement and improved organizational functioning. Dr. Goldkind is also a past visiting research fellow at the UN University on Computing in Society, Macau, SAR, China.
Rebekah Tweed
Rebekah Tweed is the Program Manager at All Tech Is Human. In addition, Rebekah runs our Responsible Tech Job Board.
Rebekah is a leader in Responsible Tech and Public Interest Technology careers, talent, and hiring trends. She is the creator of the Responsible Tech Job Board, the Program Manager at All Tech is Human, and the Assistant Producer of A BETTER TECH, 2021 NYU Public Interest Technology (PIT) Convention & Career Fair, funded by New America's PIT-University Network, where she manages the career fair and senior talent recruiting network and curates the job boards and career profile gallery.
Rebekah is also the Co-Chair of the IEEE Global AI Ethics Initiative Editing Committee and a member of the Arts Committee. Previously, Rebekah worked as the Project Manager for NYC law firm Eisenberg & Baum, LLP's AI Fairness and Data Privacy Practice Group, where she examined technology's impact on society, organizing and promoting virtual events to build public awareness around algorithmic discrimination and data privacy issues in New York City and beyond.
Dr. Karina Alexanyan
Karina Alexanyan (Founder/CEO Humanication.io) is a social scientist and communications professional with 15+ years of experience at the intersection of technology, social impact, media and education. Her passion lies in helping educational and social impact organizations leverage emerging technologies for societal benefit, with a focus on issues related to respectful technology behavior and diversity, equity, and ethics in AI education and talent pipelines.
Dr. Alexanyan has worked with Stanford, Harvard, and Columbia Universities, as well as social impact organizations such as Partnership on AI, All Tech is Human, the SEMI Foundation, and the m2B Alliance. She serves as an Advisor to two educational startups, has taught courses in communication and media studies at NYU and Stanford, and has published her academic research in international journals and books. She holds a PhD in Communication from Columbia University.
Stephanie Humphrey
Technology and Lifestyle Expert Stephanie Humphrey is a former engineer who merges her passion for lifestyle media with in-depth tech expertise to show everyday people how empowering, enriching and fun technology can be. Stephanie is driven by the sole purpose of connecting people, particularly those underrepresented in technology, with the tech know-how to transform their worlds.
Stephanie is currently a technology contributor for ABC News where she works as part of the nationally syndicated Strahan Sara & Keke team. Before that, she spent two years as the technology contributor to daytime talk show The Harry Show, hosted by Harry Connick, Jr. She’s also been a guest expert on the daytime morning show Home & Family on The Hallmark Channel, and Sister Circle Live on TV One. Stephanie was a frequent guest on NewsOne with Roland Martin and has also contributed her tech-life expertise to other national media outlets including Al-Jazeera America, HuffPostLive, TheGrio.com, and BlackEnterprise.com. She is a regular on-air tech contributor to Fox 29’s Good Day Philadelphia (WTXF) where she delivered tech news since 2012. Stephanie spent three years as the technology writer for EBONY.com, a contributor to EBONY magazine, and was the originator of the popular Tech2Go column on TheRoot.com. You can currently catch her monthly radio segment on The Karen Hunter Show on Sirius XM and hear regular tech segments on WDAS-FM in Philadelphia as well.
